Our Rehearsal Space
Every band knows the problem: where should we practice? Currently, there aren’t many serious offers for professional rehearsal spaces, and the landlords of smelly and damp basements are becoming increasingly impudent.
This lack of control often hinders the development of creative products. That’s why DEF CRÜE took matters into their own hands and built a rehearsal space from scratch.
It all began with an unused underground cellar…
After a thorough examination of the location, it was clear that moisture in an underground cellar posed a significant problem. So, waterproofing was conceptualized and implemented in all directions. Since there were significant waterproofing measures required both to the sides and downwards, the first step was to excavate downwards to allow the introduction of gravel, membrane, reinforced concrete, XPS, and bitumen… and then the calculations revealed that the necessary room height would no longer be maintained during the construction process. So, more digging… approximately 50 to 70 centimeters downwards.
